Okay, this is the most corny thing someone has ever said to me!!!! After a boat cruise for fosh, a guy walked up to me and said "hey, is u're name justin timberlake? Because u're bringing sexy back". Most of our fosh week activities have taken place just over the boarder in Quebec so first years can drink. The cruise was soo much fun, Barb (from uhs) and i danced until 2am. Barb is in the Arts, and go to a lot of the Arts events, they're so much fun and they remind me of AY. The Arts cheer is " I rather an artsy, than a fucking engineer, because engineers dont get laid". My roomies are nice (i'm rooming w/ 2 guys and a girl). One of my roomies sings me slow songs when he's drunk. I'm not tempted to drink at all, because on the first night we went a little overboard and basically the next day i just stayed in bed and just wanted to die. Since then its just been water for me. i wont see my parents for another 4 weeks if i go home for Thanksgiving. I'm still hoping to go to Montreal to see Danielle, but we have to work a few things out. Nothing has shocked me about university, its everything i expected...lack of sleep, loud neighbours, seeing neighbours smoke pot on the front steps of our building, puke in the halls, and cute guys w/ horrible pick-up lines, yup i've seen it all, and its only the first week. Where i live is a little more "lively" i guess i could say because we live in appartments and its very independent living. A lot of first years who r 18 walk 45 minutes one way to Hull to buy alcohol. Well i'm off to my first class.

I'm home in 6 days, and i'm not looking forward to saying goodbye to this place or the many people i have met. There is one guy here...who...wow...i havent liked someone like this in a while....he's very well mannered, from NYC, and he paid for some of our drinks last night....i hate the idea of having to say goodbye to him. Yesterday was my friend Shipra's 22nd birthday and we went out to celebrate...ooooo and also last week i won a bottle of champagne because my friends and i were dancing on these high tables and i started dancing with the dj....they give these bottles away a few times a week. The worest part was that we had to walk through the streets of Quebec City at 2am to the bus stop with this bottle. There is a song called "love generation" thats sooo popular here! People go nuts for it. Its weird because when u first hear it, its like what the hell is that?!?! then it really grows on u.

i love love love quebec city. My mom went home this morning, and i spent my first night in my room at the residence last night. The mall is a 10 minute walk from my building, so after my placement test, a few of us (some new people i met) went for lunch and to shop. Everyone here is from somewhere else. There are a few mexicans here, a lot of Americans, and a lot of people from the West. And ooooo merci canadian government for paying for this program, but also giving me $700 spending money..
People here freely express themselves....

hey! its me reporting from Ypres,Belgium. Things r very different to say the least! a bottle of vodka is found next to pop and chips. The good news is.... i survived the air plane!!!!!!! 7 and a half hours! then a 3 hour flight to Amsterdam. I'm having a blast, but everyone here thinks we're american! they asked "o where r u from" , we say "canada" oooo, the replied...u're American! NO!!!!!! We're off to France tomorrow and i'm going to miss the young man from the front desk of r hotel! We walked through the actual trenches today. Alex and i walked through the ones that we're pitch black and muddy! it was intersting to say the least and amazing that something i read in my history book last year is now in front of me! I miss u all!!!!!! and i'll talk to u soon! MWA |
